The school has a staff room for teachers to rest between classes.
Classrooms are fairly cramped.
Several classes don’t follow a fixed room assignment; each day, the school posts a Room Allocation Chart on the Notice Board (near the main gate). However, sometimes the school staff may forget to post it due to their workload, so teachers can ask the Supervisor if needed.
Some classrooms have air conditioning (depending on the room).
All classrooms are equipped with TVs and speakers.
Students are of an above-average to excellent level.
They interact with the teacher, though they sometimes do unrelated activities; however, with an engaging teacher, they are willing to learn.
Students have their own textbooks.
Classes are held in their designated rooms, although some classes will use borrowed rooms due to limited space in the school.
Teachers should be well-presented, youthful, and dressed professionally (men should wear ties, and women should avoid revealing clothing and visible tattoos), friendly with the school and students.
They should have teaching experience, good classroom management, and follow the official curriculum. When organizing activities or games, teachers should keep noise levels down to avoid disturbing other classes.
No shouting or yelling at students.
Dress Code: Wear business attire and formal shoes.
Appearance: Hair should be kept neat and natural in color.
Communication: Use respectful language appropriate for a classroom setting, avoiding terms like “you guys,” “you people,” or informal names with students. Maintain a professional boundary and avoid casual joking with students.
Timing: Arrive at the classroom 5-10 minutes early to help manage students and support the main teacher.
Professionalism: Teaching assistants should have a background in English or English education and review the lesson material before class to better support the teacher and students.
Classroom Management: Assist in managing the classroom and keep notes on disruptive students.
Reporting: If any unusual issues arise in class related to the teacher or students (e.g., teacher absence, tardiness, disruptive behavior), promptly report to the Coordinator (CS) for assistance.
Lesson Log: Assist in filling out the lesson log according to school regulations.
Substitute Handover: If a substitute is needed, provide all relevant class details and school requirements to the substitute TA to ensure continuity and prevent recurring issues due to lack of information.

Be careful: Please carefully check the activities in the “Assigned Activities” column and refrain from teaching parts not mentioned (e.g., grammar, writing), as these are the responsibilities of Vietnamese teachers.
Expansion:
If you finish the book sections early, you can create additional exercises to practice vocabulary and speaking based on the given topics through various activities such as individual work, pair work, discussions, presentations, surveys, etc. Teachers can take some recommendations from ChatGPT to conduct various ESL speaking activities. Teachers can see an example from this link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-T2sifOReYNrMWrawlTHipBWfWMGTF4C/view?usp=drive_link
Shared classes:
Sometimes, you might have shared classes where one period is taught by you and another by a different teacher. That’s why you might see “DAY 1” or “DAY 2” in your schedule. You should read the notes below carefully.
If you are the Day 1 teacher, you will introduce the required vocabulary and cover the specified book sections as outlined in the assigned activities. As the Day 2 teacher, you will review the required vocabulary and cover the assigned book sections. It’s a good idea to check with the students to see what they have already covered with the Day 1 teacher, then proceed with the remaining activities. Please carefully check the “Assigned Activities” column to know which book sections to cover. If you finish the book sections early, you can create additional exercises to practice vocabulary and speaking.
Tests:
There is a final test for each semester.
