Listening
Have two flashcards hidden from the students, shuffle them and ask each team in turn to guess what is on the flashcard.
If they guess right, they can choose a number to place one of their symbols.
The first team to get three in a row, wins.Â
If the board gets full, and you have no winners, they must now try get connect 4.
They can choose a number and erase the symbol there, then replace it with their own.
Continue until someone gets connect 4.
6-16
10 - 20 minutes
Add a time limit for each guess to keep the game moving and maintain excitement.
Allow teams to place their symbols on the board even if they guess incorrectly, but only if they correctly identify the flashcard.
Introduce a penalty where teams lose a turn if they fail to guess correctly, adding an extra level of strategy.
