2. Requirements

a. General

• Lesson Preparation: Teachers must thoroughly prepare lessons, ensuring they have a solid understanding of the content and effective teaching methodologies.

• Diverse Activities: Teachers should be skilled at implementing flexible and engaging activities to promote student interaction and effective learning.

b. Skill-Specific Requirements

* Listening lessons:

• Focus on strategy: Don't just play audio; guide students on how to analyze tasks and apply effective listening strategies.

• Encourage interaction: Have students explain their answers and reasoning. This promotes critical thinking and speaking practice.

• Allocate your time: To maximize student speaking time, allocate only 15-20 minutes for the listening tasks. Use the rest of the class for speaking practice using two required questions and three optional questions in the syllabus. 

• Prioritize: If you run out of time, focus on the most important tasks rather than rushing to complete everything.

** Speaking lessons

• Objective: Enhance students' communication skills and confidence through speaking activities based on curriculum topics.

• Lesson Structure:

  • Each skill is taught over 3 sessions.

  • Teachers must provide detailed instruction on vocabulary and grammatical structures relevant to each topic.

• In-depth Practice:

  • Following each unit, there will be 2 extra sessions for "Further Speaking Practice."

  • These practice exercises are designed in the IELTS exam format (Part 1 & 2).

  • The goal is to reinforce knowledge, familiarize students with real exam tasks, and provide additional practice time.

c. General Notes

If students have successfully completed the curriculum as scheduled, teachers can flexibly add supplementary listening activities to make good use of class time and provide more practice.

3. Tests: 

Teacher will conduct the final speaking test for each semester.
