Set up:

Write vocabulary words on the board.
Put flashcards face down on desk.
Set up stopwatch.

How to play:

Start timer for first team.
Ask team a question, students put hands up and answer.
If they’re correct, they can come up to the board, pick up a flashcard and place it under the correct word.
Timer stops when all the flashcards are under the correct word and everyone is sat down.
Repeat for next teams.

5 - 10 minutes

How to modify the game:

Set a timer for each round to increase the urgency and speed up the game.
Award bonus points for faster completion to encourage quicker and more accurate responses.
Introduce a penalty for incorrect answers that adds time to the timer or requires the team to replace a flashcard, adding a strategic element.
