Call two students from the first team up and give them sticky balls.
Call out a word or question, e.g., “what animal has a loud roar?”
The students at the front must hit the letters in order to spell out the word ‘lion’. Their team can help by shouting out the letters.
Write every letter they hit in order at the top of the board for them.
If they make a mistake, they must hit the delete button.
Give them one minute to complete the activity, if they do it in the time limit, they get points.
Then move onto the next team and repeat.

Introduce a penalty where if they hit an incorrect letter, they lose five seconds from their remaining time.
Allow teams to earn bonus points if they can spell a secondary word related to the original word within the same time limit.
Add a rule where the students must use the spelled word in a sentence before earning points, promoting sentence construction practice.
