1. Syllabus:
Link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1nCVDxDFx73xkQFwDJSR_pN783pOTL2Al
There are two types of classes:
Advanced classes (good level): marked "Advanced" on a teacher's schedule
Elective classes (general level): All remaining classes
2. Materials:
a. Advanced classes:
Grade 10: Mindset for IELTS, Level 1: Teach Listening and Speaking parts
Grade 11: Mindset for IELTS, Level 2: Teach Listening and Speaking parts
Teachers should:
Teach vocabulary thoroughly.
Familiarize students with the IELTS exam format.
Provide useful tips to help students strengthen listening and speaking skills.
b. Elective classes
Grade 10: Supplementary Materials – Listening & Speaking, Grade 10
Grade 11: Supplementary Materials – Listening & Speaking, Grade 11
These supplementary materials are designed by Vinalearn’s academic coordinators. They focus on developing vocabulary, listening, and speaking skills based on each topic.
3. Tests:
Each semester includes two tests, covering Listening and Speaking skills.
In the two weeks leading up to the final test, the teacher will review key skills.
1 week: practice listening mock tests prepared by Vinalearn
1 week: review the speaking questions provided in the syllabus
4. Requirements
Establish clear rules: From the start of the course, set clear classroom rules to ensure students learn effectively.
Be prepared for observations: The school supervisor will visit classes regularly. Always have your lessons well-prepared.
Maximize learning time: If you finish a lesson early, immediately transition to extra practice activities that focus on vocabulary and speaking (e.g., pair work, discussions, presentations).
Manage advanced classes carefully: It is crucial that advanced students do not have unstructured "free time" if they finish early. Use any extra time for additional speaking practice to prevent negative reports to parents.
Utilize note pages: Please inform your students that there are dedicated note pages at the end of their book or handout. This is a perfect space for them to write down new vocabulary, preparation questions for the speaking test, or other important notes from class.
